Johansson Lo De Guzman MPharm (Clinical Pharmacy)(USM) kommer att berätta om apotekens och farmaceutens roll i Asien med fokus på farmaci på Filippinerna. En intressant föreläsning för att få kunskap om asiatisk farmaci som ofta är mer tekniskt och lösningsorienterad än vad vi är vana vid i Sverige.

Föreläsningen är även en omvärldsspaning av internationell karaktär och du är välkommen att ställa frågor under hela föreläsningen.

Mr Lo De Guzman har arbetat inom många områden som farmaceut.

Föreläsningen kommer att ske på engelska och spelas in.

Johansson Lo De Guzman MPharm (Clinical Pharmacy (USM) will share a glimpse of the Philippine retail pharmacy industry which has experienced significant transformation over recent years, driven by economic growth, technological advancements, and shifting consumer behaviors.  We will take a look at the current landscape and future directions of the industry, highlighting the unique characteristics and innovative practices of major drugstore chains such as Mercury Drug, Watsons, The Generics Pharmacy, Southstar, and Generika Drugstore, as well as independent and community pharmacies.

We will explore into the unique and diverse range of products and services these pharmacies offer, from essential medications and health products to innovative customer loyalty programs, personalized health services, and community engagement initiatives.

Key trends such as digital transformation, health and wellness focus, integration with healthcare services, sustainability initiatives, and rural expansion will be examined. Future and current innovations like telepharmacy, AI and data analytics, blockchain, and smart pharmacy systems will also be discussed based on actual examples in Asia.

In comparison, the presentation will provide insights into how Philippine retail pharmacies differ from their Swedish counterparts, focusing on regulatory environments, service delivery models, product range, and technology adoption. This comprehensive overview aims to provide a deeper understanding of the dynamic and evolving nature of the Philippine retail pharmacy industry relative to the Swedish retail pharmacy and beyond, highlighting their potential for growth and innovation.
