Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Analysis
The aim the section is to increase knowledge through information and discussion of qualitative and quantitative methods and technologies for drugs and related substances (impurities, degradation products, and metabolites), pharmaceutical excipients and endogenous substances that are important for drug effects and drug interactions.
The Section for Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Analysis was founded in 1979 and has about 140 members. The section awards an annual prize, the “Phabian Award”, for best Swedish doctoral thesis in pharmaceutical and biomedical analysis.
