Exploring the Future of Inhalation Drug DeliverySecond Edition

The Second Edition of the International Conference “Exploring the Future of Inhalation Drug Delivery” is organized by University of Parma will take place in Parma (Italy) from 9th to 11th September 2026. 

 

The conference will focus on advances in the formulation and development of inhaled medicines. This is a sector in strong and continuous evolution, with growing attention towards the introduction of innovative medicines intended for local or systemic treatment. The topics covered by the sessions will be related to inhalation of biologics such as DNA/RNA-based therapies, new therapies for unmet diseases (cough, cancer, lung infection, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis), MDI propellant transition and nasal drug delivery.

A scientific session will be dedicated to young researchers and the promotion of their research.

The meeting will be an opportunity to showcase and share research achievements and to interact with leading researchers and companies in this field.

Speakers of high international reputation on the development of inhalation products have already confirmed their participation.

Registration

 

Abstract Submission

The deadline for the abstract submission is 30th of May 2026.
Authors are kindly requested to submit their abstract by email to addreslab@unipr.it, attaching the abstract prepared according to the official template, which can be downloaded from this website. Please indicate “ABSTRACT Congress 2026_Surname” in the subject line of the email.

The Presenting Author is required to attend the symposium in person to present the poster/oral talk. If the Presenting Author is unable to come in person, a co-author must assume the responsibilities of the presenting author and give the presentation in person. The Presenting Author or alternative presenter is required to register to the conference by Presenting Author Registration Deadline (15 July, 2026), or the organizers will withdraw the abstract. Abstracts that are withdrawn for any reason, including the author no show, will not be published in the abstract book.

10-Minute Project Contest (Only for PhD Students)

6 contributions from the future/young generation of scientists will be been selected for short oral presentation.
The winner of the 10-Minute Project Contest receives an award and prize money.
