5th Swedish Medicinal Chemistry Symposium
The organisers invite you to participate in the 5th Swedish Medicinal Chemistry Symposium, Sweden’s premier biennial Medicinal Chemistry and Drug Discovery event focusing on recent advances in Swedish drug discovery research in academia and in industry.
The 2026 symposium has a focus on novel concepts in medicinal chemistry and chemical biology, including PROTACs, and drug conjugates. In addition, several case studies describing the discovery of promising drug candidates will also be covered.
At the Symposium, the Swedish Pharmaceutical Society 2026 Medicinal Chemistry prize-winner will be announced. The prize recognizes outstanding contributions to the areas of Medicinal Chemistry and Drug Discovery in Sweden.

Who will attend?
This conference targets academic and industrial scientists engaged in all aspects of drug discovery and drug development. It aims to showcase the most recent trends in Drug Discovery presented by leading Swedish scientists. The meeting provides an excellent forum for networking with colleagues active in the field.

Call for Posters & Short presentations
Contributions from the whole field of medicinal chemistry and chemical biology are invited. Poster presenters will be asked to provide a presentation of highlighting findings presented in the poster. We are also inviting proposals for short presentations of recent “hot from the lab data”.
Poster abstract submissions should be sent to jenny.hagberg@lakemedelsakademin by the closing date of March 6, 2026.
Participation fee & Scholarship
The fee for Industry delegates is SEK 6 000 and for Academy delegates SEK 4000. All fees are excl. VAT. For registration made after March 6 another SEK 1000 will be added to the fee.
