31st EAHP Congress
”Dear members of EAHP family,
I am delighted and excited to share with you that the 31st EAHP Congress will take place in Vienna, Austria, from 17 to 19 March 2027.
As innovation begins where hospital pharmacists meet, the 2027 congress edition will bring us closer to rapid transformation of hospital pharmacy practice, driven by advanced therapy medicinal products, new digital solutions, and clinical services.
Healthcare innovation in Europe is reshaping the way care is delivered, improving patient outcomes, and creating new opportunities for hospital pharmacists. From artificial intelligence to biologics, from narrative pharmacy to advanced shortages mitigation pathways, and from waste reduction to improving efficiency and strengthening sustainability, our congress will bring together the people who are redefining hospital pharmacy on a daily basis. Moreover, the congress will explore how investing in research, technology, and healthcare workforce development will steer innovation and remain essential for addressing future healthcare challenges and ensuring better care for all patients.
This 31st EAHP Congress will also explore major challenges that European healthcare systems are facing while keeping the pace of innovation: rising costs in healthcare, new medicines and medical devices’ pricing schemes, unequal access to new treatments, and an aging population with complex healthcare needs, all of which remain important concerns for all healthcare professionals. Therefore, ensuring that innovation reaches all patients equally is a key priority for hospital pharmacists. Together, we will use our congress as a platform to demonstrate the importance of data-driven collaboration between academic institutions, healthcare providers, industry, and regulators.
